the gorgeous scenery of Doi Inthanon and the waterfall, as well as shows the cultural values of Phrathat (temple) and Bohdi tree crutches procession.
1. Wat Phra That Si Chomthong Worawihan (10 m.) : the invaluable temple of Chomthong Province for over 560 years and the place lays the Buddha's relics of Lord Buddha, is an important temple in Chiang Mai. With the temple abbot as Phra Dham Mangklalajarn (Thong Sirimongghlalo), who is a famous buddhist master and was highly respected by Buddhists both in Thailand and abroad, making the temple a place where both Thai and national Buddhists visit to pay homage to the relics of Lord Buddha and to practice their meditation with Luang Pu Than Jao khun every years round.
2. Mae Klang Waterfall (9.6 Km.) : straightforward from the 1009 intersection for 8 kilometers and turn left, ride along 500 meters more. Easy-access as a paved road, there laids a waterfall of Doi Inthanon National Park with its large, single storey, 100 m high features and water flowing throughout the year. You can enjoy shady and lay your back down to relax.
3. Mae Ya Waterfall (13 Km.) : straightforward from the 1009 intersection for a kilometer and turn left, ride along 15 kilometers more. The waterfall located in the area of Doi Inthanon National Park with the height of 280 meters water down from the cliff and swatch on the boulder creates the curtain-like water scenery, then shed down to the pool surrounded by a serene forest. Also, there is a Tourist Service Center provided.
4. Brijinda Cave (10 km.) : straightforward from the 1009 intersection, turn right and drive along the road with the Cave sign. The cave is illuminated, allowing you to see glittering rock glaciers, stalagmites and the Buddha enshrined within.
5. Wachirathan waterfall (22 Km.) : from km 21, you will see the right junction to the waterfall.
Walk a bit down around 500 m. The waterfall is located at 750 m. above the sea level with the features of water plunged from the upper cliff into the lower pool. In the case of wishing to experience the beauty of nature along the path, it is recommended to take another route along the original route at the first junction, walk around 1 km and turn right by the sign and walk down again 351 meters for the waterfall.
6. Doi Inthanon National Park (56 Km.) : located at Km. 31, Highway No. 1009. The surrounding
area is chill, with beautiful nature and wide lawn for camping.
7. Inthanon Bird Center (33 Km.) : located at Km. 31. Mae Klang Watershed Management Center provides bird watching services in Doi Inthanon, such as bird watching path, drawings and birdwatching maps.
8. Royal Project Inthanon (33 Km.) : located at Khun Klang village, from Km. 31 of the highway 1009. Then turn right and drive along for 1 km, you would reach the Royal Project of His Majesty King Rama 9 to promote the agricultural activities for the hill tribe such as Kariang and Hmong to grow winder fruits and flowers instead of opium.
9. Siriphum Waterfall (33 Km.) : A waterfall flows from a steep cliff, located from Km. 31 of Highway 1009, turn right at the intersection and walk along for 2 km. Visible from the road up the hill, there lays the twin stream flows down with its original name called Lao-Lhi, according to the name of the Hmong village, which is located near the waterfall. Visitors can reach the bottom of the waterfall by walkway.
10. Doi Inthanon View Point (48 Km.) : located on Chomthong Road - Doi Inthanon. When you reach there, there will be the panoramic view of the mountains with the dawn fog over the valley. From the viewpoint, you may see the Noppametthaedon Pagoda and Naphapholphumisiri Pagoda along together.
11. Noppametthaedon & Naphapholphumisiri Twin Pagoda (43 Km.) : located on the 41.5 km
on the left, built by the Royal Thai Air Force together with the Thai people. Noppametthaedon Pagoda was built at the occasion of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej 60th HM the King's Birthday (1987) and Naphapholphumisiri Pagoda was built at the occasion of the occasion of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously celebrated her 50th birthday in 1992. Both twin pagoda share the features of
12-square-foot base, glass-enclosed with 2-storey building, where the Buddha relics and Buddha statue are enshrined. The area is also provides surround beautiful scenery of Doi Inthanon.
12. Kew Mae Pan (43 Km.) : located at km. 42, is a 3 km of nature trails, including Rhododendron, Nepal National Flower, along with 2 side of the walkway in red and white color. On the nature trail, when looking down, you will see the scenery of Mae Chaem sub-district. The park is not allowed to bring food and off course the walkway to recover nature scenery view from June 1 to October 30 every year.
13. Ang Ka Nature Trail (48 Km.) : A natural study trail, surveyed and designed by Mr. Michael McMillan Walt, a Canadian zoologist and volunteer of Doi Inthanon National Park, who work dedicatedly hard for Doi Inthanon. One of his quotes is to love the world, to work and to protect, but not to forget
to be happy with it.
14. Doi Inthanon (48 Km.) : as the highest peak in Thailand with the height of 2,565 meters and cold weather all year round. Doi Inthanon is the place where the radar station of the Royal Thai Air Force and the pagoda of Lord Inthavityanon, 7th King of Chiang Mai, located. As he emphasized the importance to the forest and the Royal Hill, he would like it to be preserved until the demise.
15. Mae Pan Waterfall (59 Km) : Drive through No. 38 checkpoint on Highway No. 1192 along the dirt road for a distance of 15 km. It’s not recommended to visit the waterfall during the rainy season as it is very difficult to access and requires 4 wheel drive only. After that, walk for 10 minutes to reach the waterfall. This waterfall is Chiang Mai's longest waterfall, falling from a cliff that is over 100 meters height to several basins below. So tourists and visitors can enjoy swimming and water bathing.

Although the weather is hot, but at the top of the mountain, it’s cool and chilled with the various waterfalls in Thailand, which is famous among the tourists.
Rainy Season : June - September
Heavy rain helps promote the green scenery of the forest as well as provide a bit mistful and drizzling for nature beauty of Doi Inthanon.
Winter : October - February
The weather is cold as the rain falls. For best visit, the coldest period is in January, which is the most popular tourist season. In the night, the temperature will drop below 0 to -7 degrees Celsius, the temperature may be minus in some years, causing frost or Kaning on top of leaves.
